Ofenpass is a high mountain pass at an elevation of 2.149m (7,051ft) above the sea level, located in the most eastern corner of Switzerland, in the canton of Graubünden. The pass is known with several names: Fuorn Pass, Ofen Pass, Ofenpass, Passo del Forno, Passo del Fuorn… The name is based on the ovens that were used in ironworks in the area. The ruins of these ovens can still be seen from nearby trails. The asphalted road over the pass connects Zernez in the Engadin valley with Val Müstair, crossing the Schweizerischer Nationalpark, the only Swiss National Park.
