This pellet is specifically designed for broodmares and yearlings up to 2.5 years old. Horsefood Yearling/Mare Pellet should be fed to pregnant mares starting three months before foaling and continued throughout the lactation period. After this phase: For the Mare: Transition to a maintenance pellet. For the Foal: Feed Horsefood Foal Pellet Start until approximately 6 months of age. Following this, the foal should transition to the Yearling/Mare Pellet to support healthy growth and development. At around 2.5 years old, switch to a suitable pellet such as Horsefood Basic Sports Pellets, Condition Pellets, XP-EQ Yeast Pellets, or Performance Pellets to match the horse’s activity level.
